| Chico Spine & Vascular is an interventional radiology clinic owned and operated by North State Radiology, which has provided diagnostic imaging services to the North State community since 1959. Our physician’s are all board certified by the American Board of Radiology. |

Interventional Radiology (sometimes referred to as IR or VIR for vascular and interventional radiology) is a sub-specialty area that involves performing minimally invasive surgical techniques using image-guidance equipment like fluoroscopy. The radiologist uses needles and other tiny instruments like catheters to access the problem area and treat it without traditional surgery. |
| Although Chico Spine & Vascular is our new clinic, the procedures we perform there are not. Our interventional radiologists have been providing spine and vascular procedures in convenient, outpatient settings for decades. Our medical director, Dr. Ben Cannon, is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the International Spine Intervention Society, and the American Society of Spine Radiology. He and his interventional colleagues Drs. Nash and Lauten, have performed non-surgical spine intervention procedures for patients in the North State with great success. Our clinic will be offering vascular procedures like varicose vein ablation and venous access in the near future. |
